KNOW YOUR WORTH
Know your worth is a pilot project run by Barton Community Church with the aim of improving the confidence and self worth of teenage girls in the Barton estate. It is an 8 week course written and delivered by an experienced course leader and supported by volunteers. As part of the course each girl will receive a once off 1:1 mentoring session to support their learning as well as a weekly goody bag and a course work book/journal. The course will run on Monday evenings in the summer term. See below for referral.

Information for referrers
There are 8 spaces available on our summer term course and spaces will be given as referrals come in. If we get a lot of referrals we will operate a waiting list we we hope to run the course again in 2021/22.
Criteria for referral at the moment is mostly age group (14-16) and location (Barton). We are aiming the course at girls who struggle with self esteem but we know that this manifests itself in different ways.
For the course to be successful it needs the buy in of the young person so please make sure that whoever you are referring understands what the course is and is motivated to attend. We will also help with this as we'll do house visits before the start of the course to meet the young person and parent to help build relationships with the course leaders early on.
To refer or chat about suitability please fill in the form below and we will phone you to find out more information. Alternatively you can email directly or call 07841762641 to leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
