Hey church, the summer holidays are here and with various people away we would love to share life with worship, testimony's and a time of prayer throughout August. But we need your HELP!
I hope that this summer will be a time of relaxing, putting your feet up, spending time with your family, friends and most importantly recharging your batteries ready for the winter period. It's already starting to feel warm and we hit 38 degrees yesterday. I am already moaning to Charlotte about how hot it is and the fans are already out. I am looking forward to this summer, one because it's BBQ season and you guys know we love our food here at BCC and two, God has some incredible stuff planned for us as a church. We will be holding community BBQ's on Sunday's throughout August (from 14/08/22) outside the front of the hub, please feel free to invite your friends down for a burger or hot dog. If you would like to get involved and help support the event please chat to either Matt, Darren, Judy, Dan or Robin.
This verse reflected to me why prayer is an important part of our lives. While there is deep theological meaning in prayer, it doesn’t have to be something that is complicated and difficult. It’s something anyone can do anywhere at any time. Sometimes we forget just how powerful prayer is. We aren’t fighting against something imaginary. Our prayers are fighting against spiritual battles that linger in dark places. Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” The power of prayer is so great it has the power to defeat the devil and his power over us. He wants to destroy us, but God wants to bring us closer to Him. Prayer is our tool to win that battle. Prayer gives us the strength and the faith to finish the race victorious.
My prayer for you is this - Whatever you may do this summer I pray you have fun make time for Jesus, family, friends and make great memories that will last a life time.
